The Guardians of Recovery was established to connect those who are battling substance use disorder to animals residing in shelters and will assist in helping get the rescued animal registered as an emotional support animal. Additionally, Guardians was established to honor the life of Preston, lost to overdose, and his dog, Sawyer, who longed to save him.
